The Golden Hour Needs of Mamas and Babies

The Golden Hour should be the standard of care for healthy moms and babies! This class will teach you why and what to ask for to get it.

Introduction to the Class

The minutes and hour immediately following the birth of your baby is a tender time. You’ve both just been through a very big experience, and though it might not seem like much is happening, a beautiful and intricate dance of bonding, co-regulation, and laying of the groundwork for breastfeeding is unfolding.

This is the Golden Hour–the hour of (hopefully uninterrupted) skin-to-skin contact between mama and baby directly after birth.

In this class, you’ll find details about Golden Hour practices and their benefits. As well as tips for your birth plans to ensure you and your baby get this kind of physiologic care.
